I know. It sounds gross but give it a chance.
Do you ever get caffeine crashes in the middle of the day? That feeling of tiredness, difficulty concentrating, irritability and headaches. These were all the things I complained about before my co-workers recommended mushroom coffee.
At first, I thought it was a joke. Isn’t mushrooms what people take to hallucinate? Will it have the same psychedelic affects? Is it a drug? No. It is not. Mushroom coffee does not contain any “Magic mushrooms” also known as Psilocybin. Instead, it contains medicinal mushrooms like Lion’s Mane, Chaga, Reishi, Turkey tail, Cordyceps and King trumpet which can promote certain health benefits. Depending on the brand you buy, the ingredients or mushrooms used should be a blend of these.
The current mushroom coffee I’m drinking contains Lion’s Mane and Chaga. Lion’s Mane supports memory, focus and nerve regeneration plus benefits gut health. Chaga helps boost immunity and reduce inflammation. Just these two itself sounds good, but other ingredients such as coffee extract, collagen protein, and L-Theanine have been added for extra health benefits. There are no fillers. No artificial additives or sweeteners. No mycotoxins or mold. This coffee blend sounds good huh?
Well, it is. For the past two weeks, I have been drinking my mushroom coffee instead my usual cup of Joe, and I feel great. I don’t get my usual caffeine crashes in the afternoons. My mood and energy levels have gone up while stress levels have gone down. My focus on my work has also improved. In addition, I sleep better at night and feel less bloated. Overall, I would highly recommend mushroom coffee.
If you would like to know the brand I am drinking, please send me a message or comment below. Otherwise, I will reveal the brand in an update post in a few weeks.
